Location of the LCOM

The LCOM lab is situated on the main campus of the Université Louis Pasteur, in Strasbourg, France. This campus gathers, near Strasbourg downtown, the three Universities Marc Bloch (Human Sciences), Robert Schumann (Law) and a part of University Louis Pasteur: the Chemistry Faculty, Jean-Marie Lehn's building ISIS, the main library, the Center for Neurochemistry, the IBMC Institute, the Maths and Computer Sciences building, the Earth Sciences building and the Physics and Psychology Departments located rue Goethe and rue de l'Université. It includes also, on the students' side, the soccer ground, the cafeteria, the foyer of the chemistry faculty, the Atrium and all the shops and restaurants of the typical neighbourhood of Strasbourg called "Krutenau", the Elastic Bar, and some others if you don't want to spend 100% of your time doing chemistry. The city of Strasbourg is located at a border between France and Germany, and this situation, as long as its long bicultural history, makes life very rich and nice. The tradition of academical research is strong over here, and the Faculty of Chemistry is worldwide known. Alsace is one of the richest (and most expensive) region of France, with its old typical villages full of flowers, its golden wines, blue mountains called the Vosges where hiking is great, its highway down to the south if you want to go to the see, and even very soon (!) the TGV to go quickly to Paris. And for the lovers of Germany, you probably already know that Alsace is the most direct way to German beer and the Black Forest... France is a strange country full of French people, French cheeses and French wines, where you can probably speak to no one if you don't speak our difficult langage, but where despite constant strikes and mourning old men, you will find life rich and have a good time. Last but not least, Europe is a space under construction, Strasbourg is almost the center of it, and that are two reasons why you should come to visit our lab. See you soon!
La France est un beau pays peuplé de Français coquins et ombrageux, de fromages divins et autres nourritures succulentes, de vins et nectars enivrants, de paysages aussi magnifiques que variés, à la langue "belle, aux saveurs de printemps", bref, c'est un pays où malgré les grèves et les impôts, il fait encore bon vivre.
Enfin l'Europe est un espace en pleine construction, encore démocratique, au niveau de vie élevé et à l'infinie diversité.
